Only by appointment to review projects prior to their work authorization submission:
- in Metz (weekly): make an appointment with the UDAP
- in Thionville (every month), Bitche, Sarreguemines, Dieuze, Vic-sur-Seille, Fénétrange and Phalsbourg (about every two months): make an appointment with the town hall of the municipality concerned.
How to prepare your appointment at the UDAP?
In order to allow the instructor or the architect of the Buildings of France to give a detailed opinion, you will have to bring documents allowing him to judge the situation of the ground where you want to carry out the work.
- The precise address of the land: postal address or, if necessary, parcel number (consult the cadastre);
- Colour photographs of the building(s) to be modified, from near and far to judge its situation in the landscape and its current state;
- Construction plans (if available), preferably quoted;
- List of materials chosen: colours in case of renovation (façade, basement...), window materials, roof frame (size, materials...), tile models…

Marc Schneider - Assistant to the Head of Department - Architect of the buildings of France - In charge of the sectors of Thionville, Metz-Campagne, Forbach/Boulay-Moselle and Château Salins – Appraisal of the permits of the sector of Thionville – Conservator of the aqueduct of Ars-sur-Moselle and Jouy-auxArches and ramparts of Rodemack.
Technical division
Denis Huguenin - Appraisal of the towns of the town of Scy-Chazelles, and the sectors of Forbach/Boulay-Moselle, Château-Salins and Sarreguemines; in charge of mapping.
Delphine Seigneuret - Examination of the preliminary declarations and signs of the city of Metz; in charge of the works of historical monuments belonging to the State.
Laurence Stoffel - Instruction of the Sarrebourg sector, and preliminary declarations and signs of the Thionville sector; responsible for events at the Metz Cathedral.
Véronique Studer - Appraisal of preliminary projects and permits for the city of Metz; Heritage Foundation representative.
Myriam Wozny - Appraisal of the sectors of Metz-Campagne (except the city of Scy-Chazelle); in charge of site files, wind, photovoltaic, methanisations and eco-districts.

"Works" advice sheets on built heritage
The UDAP has produced a dozen practical sheets, intended for individuals and elected officials, to accompany them in their projects of restoration of their heritage.
